Jeffrey Wright, Veanne Cox, Joseph Marcell Set for Pre-Performance Talk for Broadway’s A Free Man of Color

Jeffrey Wright, who stars in the Broadway production of A Free Man of Color, will be joined by fellow cast members Veanne Cox and Joseph Marcell for a pre-performance talk about the show in the lobby of the Vivian Beaumont Theater, on Thursday, December 9 at 6pm.

The play is a freewheeling epic set in 1802 New Orleans, and concerns Jacques Cornet (Wright), a new-world Don Juan and the wealthiest inhabitant of this sexually charged and racially progressive city.

The company also includes Mos (aka Mos Def), Yao Ababio, Peter Bartlett, Nicole Beharie, Arnie Burton, Rosal Colón, Paul Dano, Sara Gettelfinger, Derric Harris, Justina Machado, John McMartin, Nick Mennell, Teyonah Parris, Postell Pringle, Esau Pritchett, Brian Reddy, Reg Rogers, Triney Sandoval, Robert Stanton, Wendy Rich Stetson, Jerome Stigler, Senfaub Stoney, and David Emerson Toney.

The creative team includes David Rockwell (sets), Ann Hould-Ward (costumes), Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer (lighting), Scott Stauffer (sound), Jeanine Tesori (original music), and Hope Clarke (choreography).
