Jason Danieley to Join Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty at Lyrics & Lyricists Downtown

Jason Danieley will join songwriters Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, along with the previously announced Quentin Earl Darrington, Kecia Lewis-Evans, and Christiane Noll, in the first installment of the 92nd Street Y’s new series, Lyrics & Lyricists Downtown, to be offered at 7:30pm on Monday, April 19 at 92YTribeca. Danieley replaces the previously announced Michael Arden in the event, which will be hosted by playwright Terrence McNally.
In their appearance, the duo will talk about their work and their experiences in musical theater, with Flaherty at the piano. The singers will perform selections from the team’s catalogue.
The Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning songwriting team have written such musicals as Ragtime, Once on This Island, Dessa Rose, A Man of No Importance and Seussical. In addition, they are also two-time Academy Award nominees for the movie musical Anastasia.
