Jacques Brel to Conclude Marin Theatre Company Season

The award-winning Off-Broadway revival of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris will conclude the 2007/2008 mainstage season at the Marin Theatre Company in Mill Valley, California. The production, directed by Gordon Greenberg, will run at the Boyer Theater from May 22 through June 15, with a possible extension through August.

The Boyer Theatre will also feature John Kolvenbach’s London hit Love Song (September 6-30); Lovers & Executioners, an adaptation of John Strand’s swashbuckler (November 15-December 9); the West Coast premieres of Kenneth Lin’s political thriller said Saïd (January 31-February 24); and Tennessee Williams’ classic drama A Streetcar Named Desire (March 22-April 22).

The 99-seat Lieberman Theatre will feature MTC’s first-ever workshop production, Found Objects, by local playwright Kenn Rabin (October 10-28); and the world premiere of Aditi Brennan Kapil’s play Love Person, which combines American Sign Language, English, erotic emails, some naughty text messaging, and the sensual poetry of Sanskrit (April 23-May 18).
