Jack Gwaltney, Stephen Payne Set for Dael Orlandersmith’s Killing Floor
Jack Gwaltney and Stephen Payne will star in Dael Orlandersmith’s Killing Floor, to be presented at the Seventh Street Small Stage on Sunday, January 15 at 7pm. Christian Parker will direct.
Part of Rising Phoenix Repertory’s Cino Nights series, this work revolves around an estranged father and son who have to comb through the detritus of their lives…literally.
Orlandersmith’s Yellowman was a finalist for the 2002 Pulitzer Prize in Drama, and the winner of the 2003 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Other works include her Obie-winning Beauty’s Daughter, as well as Stoop Stories, Bones, Liar, Liar, The Gimmick, Monster, and Horsedreams.
