It's Only a Play Welcomes Martin Short, Katie Finneran, and Maulik Pancholy With a Selfie

The trio has joined Terrence McNally’s Broadway comedy at the Schoenfeld Theatre.

Martin Short, Katie Finneran, and Maulik Pancholy joined the Broadway production of Terrence McNally's It's Only a Play on January 7 at the Schoenfeld Theatre. Short takes over the role of James Wicker from Nathan Lane, Finneran takes on the character of Julia Budder from Megan Mullally, and Pancholy replaces Rupert Grint as Frank Finger.

The full cast of It's Only a Play also includes F. Murray Abraham, Matthew Broderick, Stockard Channing, and Micah Stock, all of whom remain in their roles. Jack O’Brien directs.

It's Only a Play follows a group of theater professionals as they await the reviews of a new Broadway production at the show's opening-night party.

The production officially opened on October 9 and will run through March 29. Beginning January 23, the comedy will move from the Schoenfeld to the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. It's Only a Play will have its final performance at the Schoenfeld on January 18.
