Irish Repertory Theatre has announced that its current revival of Gardner McKay’s Sea Marks will extend through July 13. Ciarán O'Reilly directs the production, which was originally scheduled to run through June 15. Sea Marks began performances April 23 and opened May 5.

Sea Marks follows the long-distance love affair between Irish fisherman Colm and English book publisher Timothea. McKay's play was first produced in New York in 1981 at the Players Theater and went on to receive the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play. Patrick Fitzgerald and Tony nominee Xanthe Elbrick star.

The production features set design by Charlie Corcoran, costume design by Leon Dobkowski, lighting design by Michael Gottlieb, sound design by M. Florian Staab, music by Ryan Rumery, wig design by Robert-Charles Vallance, and properties by Sven Henry Nelson.

The Irish Repertory Theatre aims to provide a context for understanding the contemporary Irish-American experience through evocative works of theater, music, and dance.
