Hottest Spot North of Havana: Atlantic Theater Company Gala to be Held at the Copa

The Atlantic Theater Company’s 2004 spring gala, “Live from the Copa,” will be held on Monday, April 26 at the Copacabana (560 West 34th Street at 11th Avenue). The event will feature performances of short works written by Woody Allen, Craig Lucas, and David Mamet, among others, to be broadcast live by Sirius Satellite Radio; performers and other participants in the event will be announced soon.

“Live at the Copa” will start at 6:30pm with cocktails and a silent auction. The radio broadcast will begin at 7:30pm, followed by dinner, music, and dancing at 8pm and a live auction at 9pm. Items up for auction in past years have included walk-on roles in hit TV shows as well as shopping sprees, spa days, nights at the theater, etc.

Individual tickets for the gala are priced at $350 for individuals, with tables of 10 available at $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000.
