Harvey Fierstein, Norm Lewis, Lillias White and More to Headline SPARKLE Benefit

Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Hairspray), who will be represented on Broadway this season as the writer of the new musical Kinky Boots, will read “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” as one of the many highlights of
SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert, at XL Cabaret Lounge on Monday, December 17, at 7:30 pm. Proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund.

Performer and producer Scott Nevins will host the event, which he has previously presented for the past three years in Palm Springs, California.

The event will feature the talents of Tony Award winner Lillias White (The Life), Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis (The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess), Tony Award nominee Robin De Jesus (In The Heights), Nick Adams (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Milena Govich (Cabaret), Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys), Saycon Sengbloh (Fela!), Erin Quill (Avenue Q), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), along with singers The Glamazons, Anne Steele, and Kelly King.

The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that helps everyone—performers and those behind the scenes—who works in performing arts and entertainment. The Fund’s programs include social services and emergency assistance, health care and insurance, housing, and employment and training services.
