Who's gonna be the biggest star on Broadway this summer? Alexander Hamilton, that's who. Lin-Manuel Miranda's acclaimed Hamilton, a rap and hip-hop opera about the life of one of our American Founding Fathers, is moving uptown from its Public Theater digs to the Richard Rodgers Theatre beginning July 13. Today, a sneak peek at the show's official artwork has been released. Check it out:
Inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail and features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. The full Broadway cast will be revealed in the coming months.
