Goulet and Redgrave to Announce Nominees for 2005 Drama Desk Awards on April 28

Robert Goulet (soon to join the cast of La Cage aux Folles) and Lynn Redgrave (who’ll star in the upcoming Roundabout Theatre Company production of The Constant Wife) will announce the nominations for the 2005 Drama Desk Awards on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 10am at the New York Friars Club (57 East 55th Street).

The Drama Desk, now in its 50th year, is the only organization that considers Broadway, Off-Broadway, Off-Off-Broadway, and not-for-profit theater productions together in bestowing honors.

The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 22 at 9pm at the LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center and will be taped for telecast by Thirteen/WNET on Sunday, May 29 at noon. The tape will also be distributed to PBS stations across the United States for broadcast.
