Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine Set Broadway Benefit Concert Date

Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine: A Benefit Concert for Viva Broadway will be held on Monday, September 14, at 8pm at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre.

As part of the Broadway League’s Viva Broadway initiative, the one-night-only event will help kick off Hispanic Heritage Month. The song list will include some of Estefan's greatest hits including "Get on Your Feet," "Conga," "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," and "Mi Tierra."

The Viva Broadway initiative is an audience-development partnership with the Hispanic community to help bridge the world of Broadway with Latino audiences around the country. Its long-term goals are to increase awareness about Broadway while culturally enriching lives, bringing families together, and building new careers in the theater.

Proceeds from the concert event will go toward the Broadway League's Family First Nights, a nationwide program specifically designed to encourage economically at-risk families to attend theater on a regular basis.

A limited number of VIP packages will be available to the general public, including a pre-show champagne reception with her husband, Emilio Estefan, as well as premium seats to the concert and a post-show meet-and-greet cast party with Gloria Estefan and the band.

Gloria Estefan is a seven-time Grammy Award winner and has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, making her one of the most successful Latin crossover performers in the history of pop music. Her songs will arrive at Broadway's Marquis Theatre in October 2015 with On Your Feet!, a new musical based on her own life story.
