Glenn Close has replaced the previously announced Brooke Shields as narrator for a live performance of Glen Roven's The Runaway Bunny Concerto, based on the popular children's book, at Carnegie Hall on Tuesday, April 29 as part of the Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel Benefit. The evening will also include works by Bach, Bernstein, Achron, Hubay, and Sarasate.

Shields is featured on a recently released Sony recording of The Runaway Bunny, which also features Paddington Bear's First Concert, also by Roven, and Tubby the Tuba, and will feature performances by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, violinist Ittai Shapria, and Stephen Fry.

Close's many Broadway credits include Sunset Boulevard, Death and the Maiden, The Real Thing, and Barnum. Her numerous film and television credits include The World According to Garp, Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liaisons, South Pacific, and the current FX series Damages. Shields has starred on Broadway in Grease, for which she won a Theatre World Award, Cabaret, Chicago, and Wonderful Town. She currently stars on the hit NBC-TV series Lipstick Jungle.
