FOX has confirmed that Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason’s “Welcome Christmas” will be one of the songs performed on the December 7 episode of the hit series Glee. The song was originally heard in the animated special based on Dr. Seuss’ classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas and is now part of the stage musical version of this classic story.

The song is not heard on the previously reported Glee: The Music – The Christmas Album, which was released in mid-November. Among the songs on the 12-track disc are “We Need a Little Christmas,” “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and “Last Christmas,” some of which will also be heard on the December 7 episode. FOX has not yet released an official song list for the episode.

Glee stars Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Jayma Mays, Naya Rivera, Chord Overstreet, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, Dianna Agron, Darren Criss, Harry Shum, Jr, Jessalyn Gilsig, Mike O’Malley, and Mark Salling. Recurring guest stars have included John Stamos, Cheyenne Jackson, and Charice.
