George McDaniel to Join Company of Perfect Crime February 26

Television veteran George McDaniel will assume the role of Lionel McAuley in Perfect Crime, playing at the Snapple Theater Center, on February 26. The actor is replacing Dale Hensley, who is leaving the company to join the cast of La Cage Aux Folles on Broadway.

McDaniel has appeared on such television shows as Hill Street Blues, Little House on the Prairie, Three’s Company, Dallas, Cagney & Lacey, Magnum, P.I., ER and The West Wing. On Broadway, McDaniel appeared in Big River and Off Broadway he appeared in Biography at The Pearl. In addition to other New York credits, he’s been seen at such regional theaters as the La Jolla Playhouse, Mark Taper Forum, Cleveland Playhouse, and Northern Stage.

Perfect Crime, written by Warren Manzi and directed by Jeffrey Hyatt, began performances April 18, 1987. The play centers on the murder of a man married to a prominent psychiatrist. The current company also features Catherine Russell, John Hillner, Patrick Robustelli, and Richard Shoberg.
