Gallery Players Announces Full Cast for Christopher Durang’s Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge

Full casting has been announced for the New York premiere of Christopher Durang’s Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge, to run December 5-20 at the Gallery Players. Trey Compton will direct, with musical direction by Jason Barrow.

In the comedy, Mrs. Bob Cratchit takes center stage as the Ghost of Christmas Past loses control of Dickens’ tale, and the well-known plot of the classic morphs into parodies of Oliver Twist, The Gift of the Magi, and It’s a Wonderful Life.

The company features Douglas Rees (Scrooge), Safiya Fredericks (Ghost), and Joanna Parson (Mrs. Bob Cratchit), along with Sarah Amandes, Angela Dirksen, Sloan Grenz, Greg Kalafatas, E.C. “Gene” Kelly, Kyle Metzger, Doug Plaut, Adam Segaller, and Carly Vernon.

The creative team includes Lilia Trenkova (scenic design), Virginia Monte (costume design), and Mike LoBalsamo (lighting and sound design).
