Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Signature’s Two Trains Running

Leon Addison Brown, Chad L. Coleman, Frankie Faison, Arthur French, Ron Cephas Jones, January LaVoy, and Ed Wheeler will star in Signature Theatre Company’s production of August Wilson’s Two Trains Running, November 7-December 30. The show, to be directed by Lou Bellamy, is the second offering in Signature’s all-Wilson season.

Part of Wilson’s famed 10-play cycle set in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, Two Trains Running is set in 1969 at a diner owned by Memphis Lee. The show had a five-month Broadway run in 1992. It received four Tony Award nominations, including Best Play; actor Laurence Fishburne won the Tony, Drama Desk, and Theater World Award for his performance.

The show’s creative team includes Derek McLane (sets), Matthew J. Lefevbre (costumes), Robert Wierzel (lighting), and Brett R. Jarvis (sound). Bellamy is the founder and artistic director of Minnesota’s Penumbra Theatre Company.
