Full cast and creative team have been announced for the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater’s world premiere of David Grimm’s Steve & Idi, to run April 23-May 24. The production, which will open officially on May 5, will be directed by Eleanor Holdridge.

In the play, Steve’s life is going nowhere, his lover has dumped him, his friendships are strained, and the ghost of former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin bursts through his window with a very strange demand. Grimm’s previous plays include Measure for Pleasure, Kit Marlowe, The Learned Ladies of Park Avenue, and Chick, the Great Osram.

In addition to the playwright, the cast will feature Michael Busilo, Greg Keller, Zachary Knower, and Evan Parke. The creative team will feature Kris Stone (sets), Jessica Ford (costumes), Les Dickert (lighting), and Scott Killian (sound). Holdridge’s directing credits include Cycling Past the Matterhorn, Mary Stuart, and The Imaginary Invalid.
