Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Jose Rivera’s Brainpeople at A.C.T.

René Augesen, Lucia Brawley, and Sona Tatoyan will star in A.C.T.’s world premiere of Jose Rivera’s Brainpeople, to play the Zeum Theater January 30-February 16. The production, which will open officially on February 2, directed by Chay Yew.

The play exposes the desperation of three women as they cope with isolation and violence in an apocalyptic future. Rivera’s other work includes Marisol, Cloud Tectonics, Reference to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, and the screenplay for The Motorcycle Diaires, which earned him an Academy Award nomination.

The creative team includes Daniel Ostling (sets), Lydia Tanji (costumes), Paul Whittaker (lighting), and Cliff Caruthers (sound). Yew is currently directing Low: Meditations Trilogy, Part 1 at the Public Theater in New York CIty.
