Brian Tyree Henry, Gilbert Owuor, and Elliot Villar will star in Tarell Alvin McCraney’s The Brothers Size, which will be presented at The Public Theater in association with The Foundry Theater from October 23-December 23. Tea Alagic will direct the production, which will open Tuesday, November 6.

The show plays fast and loose with West African myths, bringing contemporary rhythms together with traditions of ceremonial presentation to tell the modern-day story of the Size brothers — Ogun (Owuor), an auto mechanic, and Oshoosi (Henry), a recent parolee. The play previously appeared as part of The Public’s 2007 Under the Radar Festival earlier this year. All three actors are reprising their roles from that production.

The Brothers Size will also feature original composition by Vincent Oliveri, with percussion/additional composition by Jonathan M. Pratt.
