Dan Daily, Claire Lautier, Timothy McCracken, Ann McDonough, Samantha Soule, and Mark J. Sullivan will star in the Keen Company’s revival of A.R. Gurney’s comedy The Dining Room, to run September 11-October 14 at the Clurman Theatre. The production, to be directed by Jonathan Silverstein, will open officially on September 20.

First produced in New York in 1982, The Dining Room spans both a single day and the century at the same time as a series of scenes depicting birthday parties, holidays, breakfasts, affairs, and other forms of American familial relations explode across the stage.

Gurney’s other plays include Sylvia, Indian Blood, Mrs. Farnsworth, The Cocktail Hour, O, Jerusalem, and Crazy Mary. Silverstein previously directed the company’s productions of The Hasty Heart and Tea and Sympathy.
