Free (re)Cycle Plays to Be Presented on September 15

Confluence Theatre Company will present the environmentally friendly The (re)Cycle Plays at Queen’s Socrates Sculpture Park, from 1pm to 6pm on Saturday, September 15. This festival of free short plays will address ecological issues on stages that utilize reusable, recycled, and sustainable materials.

Among the plays will be Bill Corsello’s mini-musical The Fall, in which a couple is torn apart when one refuses to adhere to the rules of recycling; Brian Ferdman’s The Last Judgment in which Judge God presides over a trial pitting The Trees against Big Business; and Steven Gidley’s The Last Supper, which explores a family’s struggle with a contaminated food supply.

There will also be a special Green Kids’ Area with recycled arts and crafts projects, music, and other events, the “Ye Olde Eco-Faire,” and special musical performances. For more information, visit www.recycleplays.com.
