Freckleface the Musical to Close on July 1

Freckleface the Musical will complete its run at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center on Sunday, July 1.

Buddy Crutchfield directs the production, with choreography by Gail Pennington Crutchfield. The show features music and lyrics by Gary Kupper with book by Kupper and Rose Caiola.

The musical is based on Julianne Moore’s children’s book Freckleface Strawberry, and tells the story of a seven-year-old girl named Strawberry who is desperate to get rid of or disguise her plentiful freckles and fiery hair so that her classmates will stop making fun of her.
