Frank Langella, who won his third Tony Award on Sunday night for playing Richard M. Nixon in Frost/Nixon, will soon begin filming On the Hook, a thriller to be directed and co-written by Richard Ledes.

In the film, Langella will play an executive of an energy business who exposes his company’s practices with the help of a private investigator, to be played by Elliot Gould. The cast will also feature Laura Harring and Chandler Williams.

Langella will next be seen on the big screen in Sometime in the Evening, in which he plays a writer who develops an unusual relationship with a young graduate student. The film, which co-stars Lili Taylor and Lauren Ambrose, will be released this fall by Roadside Attractions.

In October, Langella is scheduled to begin shooting the film version of Frost/Nixon, to be directed by Ron Howard. Michael Sheen will reprise his role as David Frost, and the supporting cast will include Kevin Bacon, Sam Rockwell, Matthew MacFayden, and Toby Jones.
