Francesca Faridany, David Greenspan, Tom Nelis, et al. Set for Sarah Ruhl’s Orlando at CSC

Francesca Faridany will play the title role in Sarah Ruhl’s Orlando, adapted from the work of Virginia Woolf, at Classic Stage Company, September 8-October 17. Rebecca Taichman will direct the production, which will open officially on September 23.

The play concerns a typical Elizabethan man who wakes up one day to find that he has become a woman.

The cast will also include Annika Boras (Sasha), Gibson Frazier (Marmaduke), David Greenspan (Queen Elizabeth), Tom Nelis (Sea Captain), and Howard Overshown (Othello).

The production will feature set design by Allen Moyer, costumes by Anita Yavich, lighting by Christopher Akerlind, and original music & sound design by Christian Frederickson and Ryan Rumery.
