Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington to Lead New Macbeth Film

Oscar and Tony winners Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand are in talks to star in a new film adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth, according to published reports.
The film, produced by Scott Rudin and distributed by A24, will be written and directed by McDormand's husband, Joel Coen.
Additional information about this new Macbeth film will be revealed in due course. Shooting is hoped to begin before the end of the year.
