"Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3)'' Opens at the Public Theater

The new Suzan-Lori Parks drama is directed by Jo Bonney.

The Public Theater production of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks' Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3) celebrated its opening night on October 28. Directed by Jo Bonney as part of Public Lab, it will run through November 16.

Set during the Civil War, the three plays of Father Comes Home From the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3) are presented in a single performance. The cast features Sterling K. Brown, Louis Cancelmi, Peter Jay Fernandez, Jeremie Harris, Russell G. Jones, Jenny Jules, Ken Marks, Jacob Ming-Trent, Tonye Patano, and Julian Rozzell Jr.

The production features scenic design by Neil Patel, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, and sound design and music supervision by Dan Moses Schreier.
