F. Murray Abraham to Star in A Christmas Carol: A Radio Drama

F. Murray Abraham will star as Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol: A Radio Drama at the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space on Thursday, December 8 at 5pm. Elliott Forrest will direct.

Charles Dickens’ novella, adapted by Arthur Yorinks, tells the story of sour and stingy Ebenezer Scrooge, and his transformation after the supernatural visits of Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.

The cast will also feature Jad Abumrad (Nephew/ Peter Cratchit), Elliott Forrest (Young Scrooge/ Adult Scrooge), David Garland (Marley/ Businessman 2), Brooke Gladstone (Mrs. Cratchit/ Miss Eliza), Nimet Habachy (Christmas Past), Richard Hake (Gentleman/ Businessman 1), Robert Krulwich (Christmas Present/Undertaker), Naomi Lewin (Mrs. Dilber/Fan/ Belinda), Lorraine Maddox (Belle/ Martha/ Nephew’s Wife), Jalen Robinson (Tiny Tim/Child/ Boy), John Schaefer (Narrator), Jeff Spurgeon (Bob Cratchit), and Brian Zumhagen (Fezziwig/ Old Joe).

The artistic team will include Fred Newman (sound effects) and John Forster (composer/pianist).
