Four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally (Master Class) confirmed to TheaterMania that he plans to join the Tony Award-winning songwriting duo Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty on an as-yet-unnamed new project. McNally previously collaborated with the pair on the 2002 musical A Man of No Importance and the Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime, which premiered on Broadway in 1998.

In an interview with McNally, the playwright commented, “I’ve done three shows with them and loved the work opportunities with all three. Ragtime, A Man of No Importance, and we’re working on a new show that I shouldn’t be talking about yet I guess. It hasn’t been announced, but I’m excited about it.”
