Ewan McGregor, Dianne Wiest, et al. Set for HBO’s The Corrections Pilot

Ewan McGregor will join the previously announced Dianne Wiest in HBO’s drama pilot The Corrections, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show will be an adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s best-selling book and will feature a script by Noah Baumbach and Franzen. Baumbach will direct the drama.
The pilot will center on an elderly Midwestern couple (to be played by Wiest and Chris Cooper), who reunite their family for one last Christmas. McGregor will play the couple’s middle son.
McGregor has appeared on stage in London in Guys and Dolls and Othello. Among his many movie credits are Moulin Rouge, Star Wars, and Beginners.
