The stars of the recent New York City Center Encores! production of Do I Hear a Waltz? celebrated their run on May 15. Directed by Evan Cabnet, performances for the limited engagement began May 11.

Melissa Errico lead the cast, alongside Richard Troxell, Claybourne Elder, Karen Ziemba, Sarah Stiles, Sarah Hunt, Zachary Infante, Nancy Opel, Richard Poe, and Michael Rosen. The ensemble featured Kristine Bendul, Kristine Covillo, Jenny Laroche, Jennifer Locke, Nathan Madden, Skye Mattox, Devin Roberts, Manny Stark, and Alex Wong.

The rarely seen 1965 musical is the only collaboration between Richard Rodgers (music) and Stephen Sondheim (lyrics). It tells the romantic tale of Leona Samish (Errico), a middle-class American woman who uses her meager savings for a long-dreamed-of trip to Venice, where she finds love, life, and her truest self. The musical is based on the play The Time of the Cuckoo by Arthur Laurents and features a book by Laurents. The show was choreographed by Chase Brock, with music direction by Rob Berman.
