Ellen McLaughlin, Tom Nelis, Henry Stram et al. Set for Septimus and Clarissa

Broadway veterans Ellen McLaughlin, Tom Nelis, and Henry Stram will be featured in the world premiere of Septimus and Clarissa, adapted by McLaughlin from Virginia Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway. Rachel Dickstein will direct the production, presented by Ripe Time at Baruch Performing Arts Center, September 7–October 2, with an opening on September 15.

The play looks through the eyes of a veteran on the verge of suicide, and of a socialite whose past comes back to haunt her. The cast will also feature Craig Baldwin, LeeAnne Hutchison, Paula McGonagle, Susan Pellegrino Tommy Schrider, and Miriam Silverman.

The production team will include composer Gina Leishman, music consultant Rinde Eckert, set designer Susan Zeeman Rogers, lighting designer Keith Parham, costume designer Oana Botez-Ban and sound designer Jane Shaw.
