Broadway veteran Sebastian Stan — best known to film audiences as Bucky in the Captain America film — will romance former Lost star Maggie Grace in the Broadway revival of William Inge’s Picnic. Sam Gold will direct the production, to play the American Airlines Theatre December 14-February 24, with an opening on January 13.

In the play, handsome drifter Hal (Stan) causes a stir when he arrives into a small town in the American Heartland – particularly for the beautiful Madge (Grace), who must decide whether their fleeting encounter is worth changing the course of her life.

The full cast will also feature Cassie Beck (Christine Schoenwalde), Reed Birney (Howard Bevans), Ellen Burstyn (Helen Potts), Maddie Corman (Irma Kronkite), Madeleine Martin (Millie Owens), Elizabeth Marvel (Rosemary Sydney), Chris Perfetti (Bomber), Ben Rappaport (Alan Seymour), and Mare Winningham (Flo Owens).

The creative team will include Andrew Lieberman (sets), David Zinn (costumes), Jane Cox (lights), Jill BC Du Boff (sound), and Chase Brock (choreography).
