Dratch, Essman, Gold, Kind, Shepherd, Wong Set for May 12 Celebrity Autobiography

Rachel Dratch, Susie Essman, Judy Gold, Richard Kind, Sherri Shepherd, and B.D. Wong will be among the performers at the final edition of Celebrity Autobiography in Their Own Words, to play at 7:30pm on Monday, May 12 at the Triad. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit The Actors’ Fund.

Created by Eugene Pack — who also performs — the show features both solo pieces and ensemble “chamber” pieces culled from the autobiographies of celebrities including Ivana Trump, Vanna White, Mr. T, Star Jones, Kenny Loggins, Tommy Lee, Sylvester Stallone, Zsa Zsa Gabor, David Cassidy, Neil Sedaka, Britney Spears, Madonna, Burt Reynolds, and Loni Anderson, as well as the infamous memoirs of Elizabeth Taylor, Eddie Fisher, and Debbie Reynolds.

Since its debut at the Zipper Factory last year, the show’s rotating cast has included Joy Behar, Matthew Broderick, Alan Cumming, Cheyenne Jackson, Tony Roberts, Kristen Johnston, Andrea Martin, Karen Ziemba,, Donna Murphy, Jason Sudiekis, Kristen Wiig, and Jack Plotnick.
