Drama Desk Awards to Be Presented May 23; Ovation TV to Webcast from Red Carpet

The 2011 Drama Desk Awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held at Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday, May 23 at 9pm. The ceremony will be hosted by Harvey Fierstein.
Among the presenters will be Ellen Barkin, Tyne Daly, Jonathan Groff, Katie Holmes, Cheyenne Jackson, Larry Kramer, Marsha Mason, David Hyde Pierce, Colin Quinn, Daniel Radcliffe, Liev Schreiber, Annabella Sciorra, Christian Siriano, Holland Taylor, and Tom Wopat.
The ceremony will be filmed in HD for a television special that will premiere on Saturday, June 4 at 9pm, with repeat airings at 12:30pm and 2pm on Sunday, June 12.
In addition, OvationTV.com will stream live from the red carpet, beginning at 6pm on Monday, May 23. The show will be hosted by stylist Philip Bloch and The Broadway Channel’s Maribel Aber.
