Hundreds of music lovers got an early Valentine's Day present on February 13, when some of Broadway's best singers serenaded them in the Rainbow Room as part of So In Love, the 21st annual gala benefit for The Drama League. The event was hosted by Tony Award winners Richard Easton and Marian Seldes, who urged the audience to hold hands at the end of the evening.
Kelli O'Hara and Harry Connick, Jr. had the night off from The Pajama Game, but they still wowed the crowd with that show's signature tune, "Hey There."
Sweeney Todd star Michael Cerveris turned the page from Sondheim to sing "The Book of Love."
Julia Murney, who will soon be flying high as Elpahaba in the national tour of Wicked, thrilled the audience with her hilarious rendition of "The Thrill of It All."
Handsome Aaron Lazar, from The Light in the Piazza, came out to support the cause...
...along with his adorable co-star Katie Clarke, who duetted with Lazar in the gorgeous "Say It Somehow."
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' new leading lady Rachel York brought along her offstage leading man, Ayal Miodovenik.
The remarkable John Lloyd Young joined some of his fellow Jersey Boys to sing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Walk Like A Man."
Good friends Tina Fabrique and Roz Ryan proved to be crowd pleasers.
Liz McCartney got a big hand from the audience, even though she had to occasionally look at her own hand for the lyrics to the tongue-twisting "I Wish I Were In Love Again"...
...but Clarke Thorell didn't have any memory lapses while singing Rodgers and Hart's bittersweet ballad "It Never Entered My Mind."
We leave you with a shot of two of the loveliest people on the planet, Marian Seldes and Richard Easton, engaging in a bit of pre-show frivolity.
