Donny Osmond Extends Beauty and the Beast Stay Until December 24.

Donny Osmond has extended his stay as Gaston in Disney’s long-running musica; Beauty and the Beast until Sunday, December 24. He was originally set to perform from September 19 until November 21. However, Osmond will not be in the show on December 5 and 6 and the week of December 13-17 due to previously scheduled commitments.

Osmond’s only previously appearance on Broadway was in the very short-lived musical Little Johnny Jones. He also starred in the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Osmond has been a recording star for over 30 years and is currently recording his 55th album, due for relase next year. In addition, he has hosted numerous television programs, including Donny & Marie, which will be released on DVD on November 7.

Beauty and the Beast stars Steve Blanchard as the Beast, Sarah Uriarte Berry as Belle, Stuart Marland as Lumiere, Jeanne Lehman as Mrs. Potts, Christopher Duva as Cogsworth, Jamie Ross as Maurice, Meredith Inglesby as Babette, Mary Stout as Madame de la Grande Bouche, and Aldrin Gonzalez as Lefou. Trevor Braun and Marlon Sherman alternate the role of Chip.
