Donna McKechnie, Bebe Neuwirth, Chita Rivera, et al. Set for A Halloween Thriller

Additional performers have been announced for Career Transition For Dancers’ gala, A Halloween Thriller: A Dance Celebration of Ghosts, Ghouls, Vampires & Wilis, to be held at New York City Center on Monday, October 31 at 7pm. As previously reported, Tony Award winner Chita Rivera will host.

The evening will showcase fun and spine-tingling works in an array of styles from some of America’s greatest dance companies and Broadway – woven together in a”spook-tacular” celebration of dance.

The revised line-up will include appearances by Tony Award winners Bebe Neuwirth, Natalia Makarovoa, and Donna McKechnie, as well as Carmen DeLavallade, Judith Jamison, Lypsinka, Noah Racey, and Ne-Yo.


In addition, there will be performances by American Repertory Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Houston Ballet, Les Ballets de Trockadero Monte Carlo, Mark Stuart Dance Theatre, MOMIX, National Dance Institute, New York City Ballet, The New York Song & Dance Company, and Peter Pucci Plus Dancers.


As previously reported, television producer and choreographer Nigel Lythgoe will receive the 2011 Rolex Dance Award at the event. In addition, the Career Transition For Dancers Awards for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance will be presented to Victor Elmaleh, Nancy MacMillan, Michele Riggi, and National Museum of Dance.
