Donald Byrd to Host Concert Featuring Steps on Broadway Musicians

Tony nominee Donald Byrd will host Music Beyond the Studio, a concert by musicians at Steps on Broadway, to be held in the Steps Studio Theater, on January 31 at 7:30pm.

The concert, a musical voyage of classical, jazz, the Great American Songbook and Broadway for piano, strings and percussion, will be performed by Damien Bassman, Joe Cross, Marc Diminno, Melody Fader & violinist, Barry Harwood, Gary Khachikan, Bob Sardo, Doug Schultz, and Vladimir Shinov & Marina Porchkhidze.

Byrd received his Tony nomination for his choreography for The Color Purple. He has directed and/or choreographed numerous theater and opera productions, and is currently the artistic director of Spectrum Dance in Seattle.
