Dick Van Dyke to Pen Memoir

Dick Van Dyke is writing a memoir to be published in the fall of 2010 by Harmony Books, according to The Associated Press.

Van Dyke won the Tony Award for the original production of Bye Bye Birdie. He also starred in a revival of The Music Man, and made a guest-starring appearance in Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life.

He starred in the movie musicals Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, as well as television versions of the plays The Country Girl and The Gin Game. His numerous other film and television credits include The Dick Van Dyke Show, Fitzwilly, The Comic, Diagnosis: Murder, and Night at the Museum.
