Second Stage Theater has announced the cast of its upcoming concert performance of the Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Peter Duchan musical Dogfight on Monday, March 18, at the Tony Kiser Theater as part of the company's Musical Mondays series of one-night-only concerts of musicals in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Derek Klena will reprise the role of Eddie Birdlace, which he originated in the 2012 off-Broadway production. He will be joined by Antonio Cipriano, Micaela Diamond, C.J. Eldred, Alan H. Green, Sky Lakota-Lynch, Pearl Sun, Henu Josephine Tarrant, Ryan Vasquez, Natalie Walker, and Daniel Yearwood. Gina Rattan will direct the sold-out performance, with musical direction by Bryan Perri.

Based on the Warner Bros. film, the show takes place on November 21, 1963. Three young Marines are about to celebrate their final boys' night out before getting sent to a small but growing conflict in southeast Asia. During a night of debauchery, partying, and more than a little trouble, Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose. An awkward and idealistic waitress, Rose ends up at the center of a cruel bet that the three men made. As Eddie spends more time with her, however, she begins to rewrite the rules of the game and teaches him the power of love and compassion.

Previous musical performed on Musical Mondays have included Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years and Julius J. Epstein, Philip G. Epstein, and Stephen Sondheim's Saturday Night. Musical Mondays will conclude on March 25 with Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's Next to Normal.
