Jeffrey DeMunn, Jenn Harris, Bebe Neuwirth, and James Waterston will star in the Flea Theater’s world premiere production of Roger Rosenblatt’s Ashley Montana Goes Ashore in the Caicos or What Am I Doing Here. Jim Simpson, artistic director of the Flea, will direct the show, which is scheduled to run October 6-November 19.

Ashley Montana is a series of vignettes about aging, angst, missed opportunities, New York, and other topics. Rosenblatt is the author of numerous books, plays, and essays, including the best-seller Rules for Aging. He won both Emmy and Peabody Awards for his contributions to the PBS series Newshour with Jim Lehrer.

Harris won the Lucille Lortel Award for her work in Modern Orthodox and was most recently seen in Silence! The Musical. Neuwirth won Tonys for her performances in Chicago and Sweet Charity, and she received an Emmy for her work as Lilith on Cheers.
