Darren Goldstein, Alfredo Narciso, Gretchen Mol Set for New Group’s Good Mother

Darren Goldstein, Alfredo Narciso, Eric Nelsen and Bill Sage will join the previously announced star Gretchen Mol in The New Group’s world premiere production of The Good Mother, by Francine Volpe. Scott Elliott will direct the play, which will perform at Theatre Row’s Acorn Theatre October 29-December 22, with an opening on November 15.

This psychological thriller centers on Larissa (Mol), a single mother who can barely meet the
mortgage on her house in Mount Vernon, NY. When a bizarre incident involving her four-year-old daughter forces her to face someone from her past, her own questionable actions come back to haunt her.

The production will feature set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Cynthia
Rowley, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Bart Fasbender.
