Darren Criss to Join Team StarKid’s Apocalyptour for Additional May Performance

Darren Criss will join Team StarKid for an additional performance as part of the group’s Apocalyptour.

The StarKid co-founder, who plays Blaine Anderson on Glee and was recently seen on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, will appear at the House of Blues in Los Angeles for an acoustic set on Wednesday, May 23, along with his previously announced performance dates on May 24 and June 10 (at Roseland Ballroom in New York City).

Also joining Apocalyptour for a special performance is acclaimed rapper/poet George Watsky, who will appear at the May 25 performance at Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco.

Touring through June 10, Apocalyptour, will feature a cast of StarKid veteran cast members performing hits from the group’s comedy musicals, including A Very Potter Musical, Me and My Dick, and Holy Musical B@man!.

Apocalyptour features music and lyrics by Criss, A.J. Holmes, Nick Gage and Scott Lamps, and is directed by Julia Albain, with musical direction by Clark Baxtresser. The cast will feature Jaime Lyn Beatty, Brian Holden, Lauren Lopez, Jim Povolo, Joey Richter, Brian Rosenthal, Dylan Saunders, Meredith Stepien, and Joseph Walker.

The creative team will include production designer Corey Lubowich, lighting designer Sarah Petty, and costume designer June Saito.
