Damian Humbley, Matthew Kelly, Sally Ann Triplett, et al. Set for Lend Me a Tenor The Musical

Preliminary casting has been announced for Peter Sham and Brad Carroll’s Lend Me A Tenor The Musical, to run September 24 – October 6 at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. Ian Talbot will direct and Randy Skinner will choreograph the show, which is based on Ken Ludwig’s play.

The company will feature Matthew Kelly (Saunders), Damian Humbley (Max), Michael Matus (Tito), and Sally Ann Triplett (Maria), along with ensemble members Harry Morrison, Lee Ormsby, John Stacey, and Kerry Washington. Further principal and ensemble cast members will be announced shortly.

The creative team will include Paul Gemignani (musical supervision), Colin Billing (music direction), Chris Walker (orchestrations), Paul Farnsworth (production design), Tim Mitchell (lighting design), and Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster (sound design).

Kelly has most recently been seen on stage as Pozzo in the Theatre Royal Haymarket production of Waiting for Godot. Among his many other stage credits are his Olivier Award-winning portrayal of Lennie in Of Mice and Men, as well as Comedians, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and Amadeus. Humbley has appeared in Little Shop of Horrors and The Last Five Years, as well as Fiddler on the Roof and Woman in White in the West End.

Matus has been seen in A Christmas Carol, A Midsummer Night’s Dream,Timon of Athens, The Canterbury Tales and The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, among others. Triplett most recently appeared in Mamma Mia! in the West End. Her other theater credits include Absent Friends , Take Flight at, Much Ado About Nothing, Guys and Dolls, and Chicago.
