Crosshatch Theatre Company has announced casting for the world premiere of Caitlin Shannon’s Einstein and Mileva, to be presented at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row, August 18-September 3, with an opening on August 19. Emma Canalese will direct.

The play tells the story of acclaimed physicist, Albert Einstein, and his first wife, scientist Mileva Maric; the early struggles of his career, the battles within, and a family secret covered for nearly 40 years that ultimately tore them apart.

The cast will feature Gregory Lay as Albert Einstein, Sarah Manton as Mileva Maric, Sid Solomon as Conrad Habicht, and Matthew Baldiga as Maurice Solovine.

The design team will include Geology Design Studios (sets and lights), and Kate Whitton (costumes).
