Firsthand: Rachel Brosnahan and Rachel Sussman Document the Covenant House Sleep Out: Broadway Edition

The second annual Covenant House Sleep Out: Broadway Edition was held on Sunday, August 17. Over 70 Broadway veterans took part in the event, sleeping on the streets outside the Covenant House Crisis Shelter on 41st Street and 10th Avenue in solidarity with the hundreds of homeless young people living inside. All in all, the evening raised $235,187.01 to provide food, clothing, shelter, and hope for youth in need.

Just like last year, TheaterMania enlisted a pair of participants, real-life besties Rachel Sussman (a cofounder and executive producer of the Indigo Theatre Project) and Rachel Brosnahan (of TV's House of Cards and The Blacklist) to document the evening.
