Brian Hargrove and Barbara Anselmi's new wedding-themed Broadway musical It Shoulda Been You will end with an even bigger surprise than usual on Saturday. Following the May 30 matinee performance, Connecticut couple Matt Harter and Jordan Reuck will exchange vows before the entire company and audience at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. At previous performances of It Shoulda Been You, audiences have been witness to several surprise proposals, but this will mark the show's first wedding.

"We’re both really, really excited," said Harter in a statement. "We’re very adventurous people, always looking for new things to do. After seeing a performance of It Shoulda Been You, with its theme of taking chances in life, we knew this would be an amazing opportunity." Reuck added, "'I've dreamed of being married on a Broadway stage since I was 17. I can’t believe it's actually happening!"

Directed by Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce, the musical ran at the George Street Playhouse in 2011. It Shoulda Been You is described as "a culture clash for the ages" that follows two families who come together to celebrate a wedding.

Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess, David Burtka, Lisa Howard, and Edward Hibbert lead the cast, alongside Steve Rosen, Montego Glover, Josh Grisetti, Michael X. Martin, Anne L. Nathan, Nick Spangler, and Chip Zien.
