Infinity Theatre Company has announced that its production of Dames at Sea, an American musical favorite with a book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, music by Jim Wise, and musical direction by Rob Berman, will head to Broadway in 2014. Three-time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner (Irving Berlin’s White Christmas) will direct.

The original production of Dames at Sea opened off-Broadway at the Bouwerie Lane Theatre in 1968, starring Bernadette Peters. The show is a celebration of the golden era of movie musicals and tells the story of Ruby, a young woman from Utah who steps off the bus and into her first Broadway show.

Music direction will be by Rob Berman. Design team, casting, production dates, and Broadway theater will be announced at a later date.
