Christine Ebersole and Julie Halston to Appear at Birdland in May

Christine Ebersole and Julie Halston will appear at Birdland in May.

Ebersole will appear in concert on Monday, May 4 at 7pm for “Garage Band Fantasy,” a celebration of her favorite pop songs of all time, composed and performed by The Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Michael MacDonald, Sting, Susan Werner, and more. She will be joined by an all-star band that includes musical director and pianist Bette Sussman, Zev Katz on bass, Clint DeGannon on drums, Larry Saltzman on guitar, and Tabitha Fair on background vocals. Ebersole is currently on Broadway in Blithe Spirit and is a two-time Tony Award winner for her work in 42nd Street and Grey Gardens.

Halston will appear on Tuesdays, May 12 and 19. She is currently appearing in Tina Howe’s Chasing Manet at Primary Stages. Her many stage credits include the Broadway productions of Hairspray, Gypsy, The Women, and Twentieth Century, and numerous plays by Charles Busch including Vampire Lesbians of Sodom and You Should Be So Lucky. Halston’s television credits include the CBS series The Class and HBO’s Sex and the City.
