Christina Applegate, Angela Bassett, Frank Langella, Eric McCormack, Kyra Sedgwick and More to Present at SAG Awards

Nominees Frank Langella, Amy Adams, and Viola Davis will join previously announced stars Christina Applegate, Angela Bassett, Jon Hamm, John Krasinski, Eric McCormack, Kyra Sedgwick, and William Shatner as presenters for the 15th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, to take place on Sunday, January 25 in Los Angeles, and aired live on TNT and TBS.

As previously announced, the casts of the film versions of Doubt, Frost/Nixon, and Milk were all nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, the Guild’s version of Best Picture. Individual film acting nominees also include stage veterans Sean Penn (Milk), Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married), Melissa Leo (Frozen River), Meryl Streep (Doubt), and Philip Seymour Hoffman (Doubt).

On the television side, the nominees include Ralph Fiennes (Bernard and Doris), Paul Giamatti (John Adams), Kevin Spacey (Recount), Laura Linney (John Adams), Shirley MacLaine (Coco Chanel), Phylicia Rashad (A Raisin in the Sun), Susan Sarandon (Bernard and Doris), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Sally Field (Brothers and Sisters), Holly Hunter (Saving Grace), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer), Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Tony Shalhoub (Monk), Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), and Tracey Ullman (State of the Union).

Tony Award winner James Earl Jones will receive the Screen Actors Guild’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He received Tony Awards for The Great White Hope, Fences, and most recently appeared on Broadway in the revivals of On Golden Pond and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
